STAIMO version 3.0 is released as a major update. This version follows the new ISO15016:2025 released this year.

Some of the major changes in the analysis steps are:

• Wind correction:
  • height conversion via wind profile using 1/9 exponent (previously 1/7)
  • new wind limits applied
  • new ship types added to Cx database
• Wave correction:
  • SNNM method replaces STAWAVE-2 method
  • Input of measured direction spectra
• Shallow water correction:
  • Raven Method replaces Lackenby Method
  • New limits for using the shallow water correction

This release will co-exist with the v2.6.x version (which follows ISO15016:2015) during the transition period till 1 May 2026 as decided by IMO. During this period, both versions will be available for download.
